Welcome back, Warlock enthusiasts. The minion Warlock build, where Agram walks around spinning out lesser demons and crushing enemies, is just as strong in the Season 15 PTR, if not stronger than before. This build saw the least amount of direct powerful upgrades to its kit, but the changes made to various systems have made it significantly more potent on the back end. This guide will walk through the current state of Diablo 4 Gold the build, its gear, and its performance.

Build Overview and Performance

The minion Warlock is a very solid build for any Warlock enjoyer. It crushes Torment 12 Mephisto without taking damage and can clear Pit Tier 135. The build is extremely tanky and deals substantial damage through Agram and its exploding lesser demons.

Testing with and without Black Soul Stone

One important factor is the Black Soul Stone, which may be overtuned and might not make it to the live servers in its current form. Testing has been conducted both with and without it to give a realistic expectation.

Without the Black Soul Stone, the build can clear Pit Tier 125 with time left over. With perfect gear, it could realistically push to 133 or 134. With the Black Soul Stone, the same build went from 125 to 135 with time left over. This suggests that with perfect gear, it could reach 140. However, the Black Soul Stone is unlikely to remain in its current format.

Survivability

Unlike other builds that struggle with the increased damage taken from the Black Soul Stone, the minion Warlock remains unkillable. The Tortured Wretch mechanic absorbs incoming damage, and even more of them spawn for free than before. The build easily reaches critical strike cap, attack speed cap, and gains either additional maximum life for damage scaling or additional damage reduction.

Core Build Mechanics

The build is built around the Legion Shard and the Spawn Fragment. These make Agram deal more damage and continuously spawn lesser demons. When Command Fallen is activated, all lesser demons explode for roughly two times Agram's damage. This scales with everything that scales Agram's damage, making Agram Schism extremely powerful.

Managing Metamorphosis Burning

One change to the build is that Metamorphosis now makes the character burn regardless of what skills are used. To offset this, Temerity is used for barrier generation and Undying on boots. The Sadistic Aspect on the amulet makes killing a demon count as killing 1.75 demons on average, and life on kill is increased by maximum life. Since demons are constantly being killed in large numbers per second, these all trigger life on kill, continuously generating hundreds and thousands of barrier per second. This makes the build truly unkillable regardless of the circumstances.

Skill Priority

The damage primarily comes from Command Fallen. Each lesser demon explodes for double the damage of Agram. The goal is to have enough cooldown reduction to pop the demons every time maximum demons are reached. A little bit of cooldown reduction is required to actually hit that maximum damage output.

Gear and Aspect Recommendations

Helmet and Core Items

Crown of Lucen is a core item for this build. Nagu plus K provides a huge amount of additional bonus barrier since there are permanently tons of demons. Survivability stats on gear are prioritised along with plus to Demonology ranks if possible.

Agram Schism is the earmarked unique for this build. The important stat here is maximum resource on the chest. Survivability stats are always good, but maximum resource helps scale damage from Seed of Horizont. With around 200 Wrath, this provides roughly a 194 percent damage multiplier.

Amulet and Ring Setup

Igny Lac provides a huge amount of additional damage reduction from Challenging Shout. For rings, Crushing can be used for a 65 percent damage multiplier since the character is fortified at all times. Look for crit chance, attack speed, and crit multi. Remorseless provides an easy 60 percent multi since demons are being killed constantly.

Boots and Weapon

The Waning World boots are recommended for mobility. Bach plus Jaw can also be fitted for a teleport. For boots, prioritise movement speed and resource regeneration. Command Fallen is permanently spammed to keep up the benefits from Crown of Lucen and maintain 100 per cent Wrath.

Malicious on the weapon provides a 90 percent damage multiplier since the character is in demon form and constantly surrounded by demons. A life on hit roll is helpful for survivability, but this could be swapped for another crit damage multiplier.

Aspects

Temerity generates a barrier to offset the burning. A damage reduction aspect could be run instead, but the barrier generation is hard to pass up. The Sadistic Aspect should be placed on the amulet for maximum benefit. Demonic is another aspect worth considering.

Soul Shards and Splinters

The build uses various soul shards and splinters to maximize damage and survivability. The splinter that increases attack speed and crit chance while increasing primary resource costs does not matter since the character constantly has maximum resource and gets it back quickly.

There is an alternative shard that provides maximum life. This gives more damage, more barrier, and more health to heal through fortify. However, the damage reduction shard provides straight up more damage reduction and is better for pushing.

Tortured Wretch and Survivability

Tortured Wretch absorbs 30 percent of maximum life as incoming damage instead of the character taking it. Five of these can be out simultaneously, absorbing up to 150 percent of maximum life before it even touches the character. This makes the build hilariously unkillable even while permanently burning with Metamorphosis.

Sigil of Summons

Feeding Frenzy should be used instead of Hellworm. It provides five additional lesser demons that count as lesser demons for Agram. Agram eats the lesser demons from this sigil, and killing them powers the sigil to spawn more lesser demons. This is a marked improvement, roughly a 30 percent increase to damage.

Paragon Board Setup

The Paragon board is fairly similar to what is currently run. Demonologist is the main board. Vanguard with Fathomless provides useful bonuses. In Demonic Spicules, Superiority is used, a new glyph that helps get more maximum Wrath for Seed of Horizont and provides intelligence and strength.

Dynamism is a key node, providing 3 percent damage per dominance. With 61 dominance, this is a 183 percent or a 2.83 multiplier from a single Paragon node. Unbound provides even more dominance from magic nodes. Dominion provides even more dominance as well.

Icer provides a marked improvement in survivability through increased armor, taking toughness from 2.7 million to 3 million.

Build Limitations

One issue with the build is that the AI on Agram is still a little unpredictable. It targets elite monsters in its line of vision as opposed to the character's line of vision. If the player wants the minions to fight in a specific location, the character still has to run past so the minions pop over and then re-aggro.

Final Thoughts

The build feels great and is just as unkillable as last season, even more so now due to the new soul splinters. The increased damage from buy Diablo 4 Items the Black Soul Stone is really nice, but it will likely be adjusted.
